A Little Redemption

WHITE MOUNTAIN BASS CLUB

TEAM

2005 BATTLE OF THE CHAMPIONS

Guy and Dean Hartman 1st

Congratulations to Guy Hartman on a stellar year!

Well, after all the dust settled, and the White Mountain Bass Club moved from Pro/Am tournaments to Team tournaments half way through the season. Guy Hartman seemed to be the guy to beat. With the change of points Guy found himself in a situation he really didn’t like... Moving from the Pro/Am format to the team format moved teams like Doug Coplan and Johnny Johnson a little closer in the points, as going to teams the bass club agreed to take the highest points from each team member and that team would start the team tournaments with those points.. With all that behind the club, Guy found himself ending up in 3rd Place for team of the year with his son Dean. The Championship tournament last weekend Guy and Dean found a little redemption as they weighed in a limit of fish both days of the tournament to win the 2005 Battle of the Champions with a 2 day total of 13.88 pounds, plus Big Fish a 3.87 pound bass and second big fish a 2.70 pound largemouth. Rounding out 2nd Place went to Johnny Johnson and Reese Simpson who won the second day but did not have enough weight to overtake Guy and Dean Hartman. 3rd Place went to a new team who in three tournaments, just made the championship, John and Ty Coplan. They didn’t even catch a bass the first day, but put it on em’ the second day to over take Doug and Walt Coplan for 3rd Place in the tournament.

Team of the Year

2005 Team of the Year went to Brothers Doug and Walt Coplan, who had a great season, and managed to stay in the top 3 every tournament including winning 2 back to back tournaments this year. A great job by all and next year is set to be bigger and better, as more and more teams seem to be ready to go next year. The season starts in May, and you don’t want to miss it, as the White Mountain Bass Club is staying with this format and entry for next year.....
